We are a friendly, community yoga studio in the Midtown's Evergreen Historic District near Overton Park. We teach Iyengar Yoga -- which means that in our classes you will learn yoga postures to build strength, endurance and flexibility.
You are welcome to drop-in to any of our Introductory & Level One classes on our schedule at any time:
Mondays 10 - 11:30am Gentler Pace
Mondays 5:15 - 6:15pm Intro & Level One
Mondays 6:30 - 7:45pm Men's Class (men only)
Thursdays 6 - 7:15pm Intro & Level One
Saturdays 8:45 - 10am Intro & Level One
Drop-in classes are $18. (Monday 5:15pm class is $12)
Perfect for brand-new beginners! The instruction is progressive, building on skills week-to-week as the student develops strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and confidence.
Classes will emphasize postural alignment and precision in the basic standing and seated poses and end with final relaxation. Shoulderstand will be introduced.
Students will build a solid foundation needed to progress to other classes at Evergreen Yoga. Mats and props are provided. Those with previous yoga experience wishing to refine their understanding of the fundamentals are welcome.
